Instructions for UCCSC 2017 Speakers

Welcome to all UCCSC 2017 speakers! We're so glad that you'll be joining us at this year's conference. We look forward to seeing you in August.

To-do List

  • Prepare your slide deck.
    • Please upload a copy of your slides/presentation to OneDrive, Google Drive, or other cloud provider of your choice as back up.
    • In order to make your talk available on the UCCSC Web site shortly after the conference, please email your electronic files to a4mai@ucsd.edu as soon as possible after or even before your presentation.
  • Consult the posted schedule to ensure you know the day, time and location of your session
  • Bring a laptop for your presentation
    • Laptops are not provided. If you wish to discuss any A/V needs, please contact a4mai@ucsd.edu
    • We will provide the following equipment:
      • 1 LCD Projector
      • 1 screen
      • Cables and extension cords
      • Mini-DisplayPort and USB-C adapter will be on hand if needed

Wi-fi

Campus wi-fi will be broadcasting in all buildings and rooms where sessions will take place. Please connect to the UCSD-GUEST network.

Technical Assistance and Recording

A UCCSC volunteer will be assigned to each room to assist with any technical difficulties as well as record your session. They will be prepared with spare adapters and have access to backup laptops in the event of malfunction. All session videos will be posted online and available to view shortly after UCCSC.

Volunteers will give a 5 minute warning to ensure talks stay on schedule.

Special Note for sessions in Atkinson Auditorium and Atkinson Black Box Theater

Presentation equipment in these rooms will be run by a specialized tech for you.
